Golf

The Edison Club mission statement states a primary focus of the club to be "Promote and Grow the game of Golf." As a family oriented private club, that is exactly what we hope to do through leagues, junior programs and member events.

Nestled on the rolling hills high atop the bluffs of the Mohawk River, the Edison Club features 27 holes of championship golf. This affords Edison Club members the diversity of multiple combinations for honing, or testing, their skill.

Designed by Devereux Emmet, the golf courses at The Edison Club feature slightly elevated greens with mounded surrounds, fast greens and a propensity to favor difficult "bump and run" shots around the green. Emmet designed the golf course at the Edison Club in 1926 and is considered one of America's foremost golf course designers. Most notable among his work are Congressional Country Club (Bethesda, MD), The Garden City Golf Club (Long Island, NY), and Leatherstocking (Cooperstown, NY) and in total, Emmet is credited with 83 designs over the course of 35 years.
